Some Like it Hot at Card Crafter's Circle!

I'm sorry that my post is late again this week... we've had more hospital dramas this week, and another potential accident this morning... thankfully not severe, but enough to warrant my time needed elsewhere, delaying my post yet again.

After last week's Winter themed challenge at the Card Crafter's Circle, this week we are polar opposite .... we challenge you to create hot and summery! Our summer here in Australia is hot and blustery, between 35-40+C (100-112+F)... nasty even by our standards, and many of us in the eastern states are facing bushfire threats, while the west coast is battening down for Cyclone Narelle.

Floppy Lattes Digital Designs ::All Digital All The TimeOur sponsor this week is Floppy Latte Designs.... and we are happy to welcome them to our family of sponsors at the Card Crafter's Circle!  I have created a card using  muted (or is that burned?) colours, using the Fruit Basket image from our sponsor...
On a cream/pearl cardbase, I have layers of cream distressed paper, and vintage pattern, forming a mat for my image layer. The image has been coloured with SU! markers, and the background filled with a mixture of cream, deep yellow and brown chalks (they appear very subtle in the photo).

I fixed the layers with brads, and in the bottom corner with some paper blossoms, that remind me of a wildflower we find all over in my locale... Everlasting Daisies... even the right colour for the real ones too!

I hope that you visit us at our Card Crafter's Circle to see our image showcase... and that we can inspire you to join in our challenge! Thanks for peepin'!

Dear Polly, I'm praying for you that you will continue to seek the Lord as your strength in all that is happening in your life! I pray for your safety and those you love as well as the weather you have is causing much concern.
Beautiful card! I love how you've coloured the image and the added flowers are so pretty!
