A Sketch at Beccy's Place!

Wow. What disastrous weeks... and how sad that such awful events can occur over Christmas time.... I've been completely awol from my blog with some family crises, that I won't delve into here. But, they are on a positive climb now, so here's hoping they stay that way.

This week at Twist of Faith Challenges, we have sketch challenge for you!  Pop over here to the blog to see the challenge sketch and details.... Twist of Faith Cards.  Our sponsor is Beccy's Place, and we are thrilled to have Beccy and her beautiful designs grace our blog pages!  My creation for the challenge uses Beccy's Roses and Pears image...

The image is coloured with SU! markers (and I apologise that the roses appear more orange than true ... I must work out how to use the colour values correctly!).  I have chalked the background with pearly creams, yellows and a few dabs of brown.

I have used multiple layers with this card... the image layer is fixed with DS tape to it's green matt, as is the scripture layer, but in fixing the 'greens' to the layer below, I have used foam tape, creating height and depth.  The gold ribbon/twine is wrapped around the two layers, and secured behind.  Between the scripture and the image layers I have sandwiched two ribbons - organza and satin. Finally, I added some champagne coloured rhinestones.

Thanks for peepin'!
