Christmas Cardinal

Oh how I wish that our Christmas in Australia was a snowy one... I've been lucky enough to have spent a white Christmas in Canada (albeit several years ago!) but it was a lovely memory!  Our #54 challenge at the Card Crafter's Circle this week is themed Christmas.  It's only a few days away now, but we seem to live a marvellous lead up for the event!

I have created a card here using the Christmas Cardinal image from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.

On a white cardbase, I have two pieces of red stitched grosgrain ribbon, beneath layers of red textured CS and patterned paper forming a base for the image.  The image has been coloured with SU! markers, the berries with glitter pen, and the snow has been left neat. Clear Star glitter pen has been added here and there on the snow and on some holly leaves.  My apologies for the flash shine on the green paper.

I finished off the image layer by adding red rhinestones into the corners, and a Christmas sentiment sticker in the white space.
