Firstly, I'm sorry my personal post is late! I've been away from the computer for 5 days, for family reasons, and I feel like I'm completely snowed under .... which will make perfect sense when you see the card I'm sharing today!
This week at
Twist of Faith Cards, we are
INSPIRED BY CHRISTMAS CAROLS! We want to see creations that have been inspired by the wonderful music and carols of the Christmas season. We have a wonderful sponsor this week
MelJen's Designs!
I used
Christmas Star Snowman, from MelJen's Designs for this card... My card has a lot of depth, although the photo here doesn't clearly show it. The image and blue layers are both fixed with foam tape, so they realy jump off the white cardbase! There is not a lot of colouring here, as I wanted the snow to be really white (so it isn't coloured at all!) The branch arm and hat are coloured with markers - it actually looks a little velvety, as the colour layers are deep. The scarf and star are coloured with glitter pens.
I have created a digi text from the chorus of my chosen Carol "We Three Kings" ....
The background of the image layer has been chalked, and I have then embroidered a border, and also the Star accents... using a white gold metallic thread. Following the image, I have hadded 6 rhinestones as snowflakes ... the camera flash really makes one of them pop!
Come along and join our
Inspired by Carols challenge at
Twist of Faith Cards this week! Thanks for peepin'!
