...here is a Rick St Dennis delight for you! This is Aquaria, the mermaid with attitude. isn't she beautiful? You'll find her over at etsy, at the Rick St Dennis shop (along with a gazillion other must have beauties and creepies!)....
I've used a white cardbase (seems to be my thing at the moment!) and have used two layers of the same washed blue paper. Aquaria is on white, but I have used pearlescent blue and green chalks to soften the background. She is coloured withSpectrum Noir markers, and the sparkly bits are coloured with 'smooshed' glitter pens (smoosh is my technical art word for blending).

This creation is also shared in the challenges at...
2 Sisters #113 Anything Goes (19/10) Challenges 4 Everybody #5 Anything Goes (27/10)
Bearly Mine - #57 Anything Goes (23/10) A & T Emerald Faieries #34 Anything Goes (28/10)
Our first challenge at the Challenge blog, Sparkle And Glitter With Rick... is almost at a close... if you can't join in this one - BLING! - I hope you'll join in our next challenge! You don't have to use an RSD image, but we'd love to see you create with them if you do! Come on over and join the fun!
Thanks for peepin'!
