I used the super cute Snowbear image ... just couldn't resist him! My chosen 'colour' to add with black and white, is PURPLE. I don't know why, but the camera flash has fiddled with my image, and the light lavender that I used on my bear, came out looking blue... oops! I can assure you, it's a light lavender on the card!
I imagined this little fella against a dark sky, and snowflakes, and came up with using vintage Core'dinations CS to compensate (with a little stardust Clear Star pen dabbled here and there. I coloured Snowbear with a Spectrum Noir pen, and added Clear Star pen to the coloured sections on his scarf and cuffs. The rest of bear is not coloured at all.
I continued his snowline left and right to match the matting, and filled in with Clear Star pen. I fussy cut, then fixed the image flat at the base, and with foam tape behind his head. I then wrapped a purple organza ribbon around the base. I continued matting with white then more of the same purple, before fixing all to a white cardbase. (I am really into white cards at the moment!)
I added some purple rhinestones at the top corners.
