Going Green at MPS

I love St Patrick's Day.... not just my family links to our Irish heritage, the music, the dancing, colours, celebrations, and especially the beer, guiness, corned beef and potatoes!  Oh okay so, I have a soft spot for Irish pubs too.
This week our challenge at MPS is to Go Green for St. Patrick's Day!  I used Fiona in my creation....

Ingredients: Cardstock - Rosies; Markers - Promarkers; Stardust Pen - Sakura; Green Metallic Seed Beads; Gathered Lace...

This is one of my favourite images fom MPS - I know I love them all, but I just love this one - reminds me of my dancing days as a child - The Irish Jigs were definitely among my favourites, with the green velvet jacket, satin skirt, and white lace apron...

I've coloured Fiona with promarkers for the skin and hair (the hair was an AquaMarker) and Stardust pen everywhere else.  I used my aquash pen to lighten the hair colour, and the lighter greens for the dress and bodice.  The apron was left neat, so it would be whiter than white...  I stitched seed beads on the flourish ends that surround her, and bordered the image with a lovely little lace.  I chose a green mount (no question there!) and a white cardbase to make everything appear crisp!

I hope you will grab your Michelle Perkett Studios images and join us for this challenge... if you don't have any, check out Michelle's Etsy store or join us in our PCP group, you may just find some freebies! Our challenge winner, wins an image of their choice from Michelle's store! I don't envy your choice of only one...

So bring out your four leaf clovers, your little Irish lads and lasses, Leprechauns and pots of gold, and show us your creations in green!
