I created this card using a fab image from Sassy Studio Designs, and a gorgeous styled sentiment from TLC....
Ingredients: Cardstock - Cre8tiv; Skin tone Marker - Copic; Sardust Pens - Sakura; Rhinestones, Rub-ons - Kaisercraft; Blossom.
In my mind it was a forgone conclusion as to how I was dressing this chickie.... had to be a red dress, and a black hat.... and I had to gussy up the hat with a feather or something... couldn't find my black feathers, so I opted for a flash of red... it's actually a scrap 'scallop' from a woven lace trim, that I cut and fluffed (then I added the fabric blossom, and the rhinestone.
Choosing the TLC sentiment also determined that I would use a vintage look, or an aged look.... when I decided to print the sentiment black, on red, it just screamed old-west showgirl to me. So out came a touch of glitter to the sentiment, the black rhinestones around the image, and the dressed scalloped rub-on borders - I added the red rhinestones - and they reminded me of bunting!
