Go Dotty!

Wow... the week 7 challenge at the DYSU Challenge Blog  is aleady here! There has been an amazing number of participants in the weekly challenges....sharing awesome cards and projects.... Our sponsors this week are offering up some super prizes for our randomly drawn winners.... A Day for Daisies is offering a $16 gift voucher, and JLJ Designs is offering 4 digital images .... how cool!

Here is my creation for the week, using a wonderful Apron image from A Day for Daisies....

Other ingredients: Cardstock - Kaisercraft, SU!; Decorative Paper - Kaisercraft; Chalk - Pebbles Inc; Stardust Pens - Sakura; Yellow Marker - Marvy; Pearls - Kaisercraft; Mini Brads - Craft Affair; Organza Ribbon, Fabric Blossom, Lace scrap...

I coloured the image with chalks for a very delicate shade, adding more colour to the bodice and pockets for a little contrast.  I used Stardust pens for the ribbon ties and edging. Then I fussy cut the image.... tricky were the thin parts!  I added lace scraps to trim the bodice and skirt hem, and brads to the pockets.  I coloured a white fabric blossom with a yellow marker, allowed it to dry, then gixed it with a brad.  I created the layers, and fixed them together, with the image on top. added the pearl trim, and an organza ribbon bow, then fixed it to the card.  I think it has a bit of a retro feel...

This week, our challenge is all  about DoTs what have you got with dots?  Paper, ribbon, images.... anything! So go visit the Do You Stack Up blog if you need more details and inspiration, and join our challenge... go Dotty!

Pauline, This is lovely. I love the pearl edging to the card and the lace trim just finishes the apron off nicely. Hugs Denise xx

Very pretty Pauline, I love the apron image. Wow, I hadn't even noticed the lace you added until I read your description. Great addition That's some impressive cutting you did there!! Mine would have been all bent up and ragged!
