I challenge you

....to make a non traditional shaped card! That's our challenge at For Fun Challenges this week - create a non-traditional shaped card.  I used a Poinsettia image (a freebie image from our sponsor, the Stamp Fairy.  There is some awesome inspiration from the Design Team's creations, so go check them out at the For Fun Challenges blog. You can view may card first, then see all the yummy details about our sponsor and the challenge winner's goodies!

Ingredients: cardstock - Kaszazz, Kaisercraft; Glaze and Stardust pens - Sakura; Marker - Bic; Gold Glitter Glue - Papermania; Ribbon.

I printed out the image, then coloured it with yellow marker for the centre, red glaze pen for the flower, and green stardust for the leaves.  I cut the image out, then mounted it on green card. I cut it out again, leaving a thin border, the mounted it on the fold on red cardstock.  I trimmed it out again, leaving 2 points on the fold - one is hidden under the ribbon, and the other is on the leaf below.  It is intended to be a gift card, or perhaps used as a gift tag, but it opens for a message inside.  I added Gold Glitter glue last.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by the Stamp Fairy, and you can find her blog  here at Stamp Fairy World. StampFairy is a brand new company created and illustrated by Gerda Burghardt. She creates cute and whimsical digital images for the young and old, inspired by her life, love and her 4 cute cats.
StampFairy has new releases each Friday and offers a free digital image for all of our friends. We hope StampFairy's images inspire your creativity.

The winner of our non traditional shaped card challenge will win 3 Digital images of their own choice from StampFairy. So do join in the fun at For Fun Challenges this week.... we'd love to see your creations!
