I picked a delightful image from Beccy's Place to accompany this hymn. The image felt 'right' to use with this hymn, I knew it had to be a peaceful one. I printed the image and coloured the leaves, and centres only.. leaving the flowers white. At this time, I took a few minutes to wrap the top of the hymn layer with lace, and with a strip of ribbon/bow. I stitched a single pearl to the centre of the two open blooms, and attached them to the teal-matted hymn with foam tape. I fixed all to a cream cardbase.
I was going to tint the hymn layer with pearly cream chalk, then when I arrived home, I found that I had left my chalks behind at my parents' home! Eek!
As well as linking this into the hosted challenge/study at #2 Hymn Scripture Challenge - Triple the Scraps (thank you Patter!) I am also linking this up at Word Art Wednesday #68.....thanks for peepin'!

Hi Pauline - this is a lovely card creation - I wanted to stop by and say it has been an honor to be a DT member for your team at Twist of Faith - This is not goodbye - but rather see you in blog-land! Enjoy your week! Gail former DT member
Polly, this is just beautiful! Love the hymn and the lace and ribbon at the top! Love the way you've coloured your flowers to! It looks wonderful, even without the chalk!
Hi Pauline . Love the script as focal point of card front . Beautiful lace and ribbon at top and pretty flowers at base coordinate to create a vintage like frame for the Hymn.
Hugs Shirley-Anne
Beautiful page, Pauline! Isn't it a great challenge? It has been such a blessing to me as I have participated these last few years.
Your lace and ribbon are so lovely with those pretty flowers!...Nancy :o)
