I printed the image along with a sentiment, and trimmed it to fit my card base (allowing for some layering as well). Hmm... how to colour the image... with thread! So I sat and stitched them! I added (hopefully) evenly spaced holes, an set to stitching the entire image, some using a simple running stitch, other sections use a stem stitch.
I then matted the image layer with red textured card, and fixed them with cream brads. This was then layered onto some sweet red and cream gingham check paper, and another layer of red textured card. Kinda reminds me of my Grandma's tablecloths.... and mine!
