SoftPencil Studios Blog Hop... Awesome Event #2

I am so sorry that I haven't a current creation to share at this minute - we've had a bathroom pipe disaster in our home, combining the need for plumbers, carpenters and heaven knows who/what else. I share here a previous creations with Softpencil designs, and will have my new creation up as soon as I can! Thank you for your patience!

The crisis has been averted, now we've just a massive clean up - thankfully the problem wasn't as severe as we first thought, with the cause being corrected... now on with my proper post!

Have your heard... have you heard... have you heard? SoftPencil digital stamps are back! Woohoo! The  Spring Collection and Easter Collection are already available at SoftPencil shop. 

We're celebrating Elizabeth's 10th year as a professional artist, the  first year of the Tinytwinies™ characters, and the first year of the Softpencil Studios relaunch.  And we´re also celebrate the opening of the SoftPencil shop where all the products will be available: digi-stamps, clear stamps, stickers, rub-ons, kits for card making, scrapbooking and paper crafting (they include my new line of papers) with more products coming soon!

This awesome SoftPencil event was so big we've had to have THREE blog hops! This is the second part... runing until April 20. The third one, from April 20 to 25. So stay tuned.

My creation for the hop uses the Sunny Gardener image.... I wanted to create something clean and simple, so I wanted to keep a crisp white background.  I recently saw a white on white layered card, lifted with foam tape, and thought it looked super.  And I thought it would be great to sandwich flowers between the layers, so that's what I did!

I coloured the image and background with chalks, and accented the denim overalls, wateringcan, flower and bird with glitter pens.  I left some patches in the background light in chalk, to simulate clouds (use your imagingation!). I edged the image layer with brown chalk, and added pearls in the corners.  Using floam tape to lift the image layer, I sandwiched the paper flowers between the white layers... simple and crisp!
