If you're hopping in order, you should have arrived here from visiting with Heather (#11). If you've stumbled into this event, you can start at the beginning here at the SoftPencil Blog.......
This awesome SoftPencil event was so big we've had to have THREE blog hops! This is the second part... runing until April 20. The third one, from April 20 to 25. So stay tuned.
SO MANY prizes! A winner for each blog hop (three winners) will receive a gift certificate of $15. All the visitors leaving a comment on every blog of a BlogHop will receive a free digi-stamp of their choice. So, if you complete one blog hop, you'll receive 1 digi-stamp. Complete two blog hops, you'll receive 2 images... visit everyone in the three hops, you will receive THREE images! There are mystery blogs, and all the commenting visitors at those mystery blogs will be entered on a drawing to win a digi-stamp (no, I'm not going to tell who the mystery blogs are).
My creation for the hop uses the Sunny Gardener image.... I wanted to create something clean and simple, so I wanted to keep a crisp white background. I recently saw a white on white layered card, lifted with foam tape, and thought it looked super. And I thought it would be great to sandwich flowers between the layers, so that's what I did!
I coloured the image and background with chalks, and accented the denim overalls, wateringcan, flower and bird with glitter pens. I left some patches in the background light in chalk, to simulate clouds (use your imagingation!). I edged the image layer with brown chalk, and added pearls in the corners. Using floam tape to lift the image layer, I sandwiched the paper flowers between the white layers... simple and crisp!
You can continue the hop by visiting with Cyndi Kim (#13) , or start your hopping here at the SOFTPENCIL BLOG ... and stay tuned for Blog Hop #3! Thanks for hoppin' by!
