Pot 'o' Gold!

Oh what a week... how can i be so remiss to save the post as a draft, and not actually post it! Thank you Debbie for leaving a message on another post, to let me know that this post was here on my blog!  Okay so, now that St Pat's celebrations are over, but in a potentially similar vein, our challenge this week at the  Card Crafter's Circle is
Pot 'o' Gold!

We would love you to use gold in your creations!  Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Milk Coffee..... such cute images! Don't forget to check out the Milk Coffee blog! They are so super generous as sponsors... our challenge winner will receive 3 images of their choice.... and the Top 3 will receive an image each of their choice as well! How awesome! Thank you Milk Coffee!
Ingredients: Red Matt, Metallic Gold Cardstock; ProMarker Aquas; Stardust Glitter Pens; Glaze Pens; Gold Organza Ribbon; Pearls...

Using the image of Charlotte and Paper Ship, I happily coloured away, using a Promarker Aqua, Glitter and Glaze pens, and a few matt gel pens.  The white of her tunic is uncoloured. I used glaze pens for the water, and I coloured the paperboat red.... it reminded me of origami, and in turn of the red and gold money envelopes I see at Chinese New Year... since I like the colours of red and gold together, it seemed to fit the challenge nicely!

I've just used simple matting, and fixed the layers together with brads, and added a gold organza ribbon, with a faux bow in the centre.  I knew that I had a really sweet sentiment from Create with TLC that was just perfect for this image and the challenge theme, so the sentiment has been added beneath the gold ribbon.

Do visit us at the Card Crafter's Circle blog, check out this week's challenge, along with the inspirational creations from my teamies.... these girls ROCK and I am very fortunate to have met them!  Thanks for peepin'!
