Orange and Green for St Patrick!

Isn't everyone a little bit Irish this month! I know that I do come from Irish stock, and am proud of it too...(but I'm also proud of my Scottish stock too!)  I love Irish music, folk, more classical, and music to step dance to. I've been known to do a jig or too, and down a few pints of the Black Gold (Guiness, not oil)! And my favourite comedies at the Father Ted and Mrs Brown's Boys.  Like all good Irish folk, our family has the gift of the gab, and I've family who could talk underwater with a mouthful of marbles.  I stop for a breath now and then.  My dear Da indoctrinated me with Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers as a child, so I grew up with some fantastic songs in my head.... and still sing them today.

Okay so, following the Trail of the Shamrock, our challenge this week at the  Card Crafter's Circle is two fold - you can choose one or combine the two!

Ingredients: White Semigloss Cardbase; Bazzil Cardstock; ProMarker, Aqua; Stardust Glitter Pens; Satin Ribbon; Pea Green Rhinestones...

Using the St Patrick's Day set from KPM Doodles I repeated the 4-leaf clover for the background, and coloured with a Promarker Aqua, for a watercolour effect. I layered another clover on the Flag image and coloured the clover, the Green (for Catholics) and the Orange (for Protestants) in glitter pen.  The White of the flag representing the hop of lasting peace between the two is left  neat and uncoloured.  The flat is lifted with foam tape.

I added an orange matt to the clover bed, trimmed a green matt to lay beneath, fixed a piece of vintage orange satin ribbon to sandwich between, and gussied up a bow-tie to dress the side (it's a faux bow, so it sits flatter).  After I adhered it all to the cardbase, I added green rhinestones to the corners.
