Life at the Outpost

Yes, I'm talking about that Skatt Brothers song from the 70s/80s .... can't help myself, I love that song.... and if you really what something to smile, check our the "Life at the Outpost" youtubes! I love that music video, it's hilarious! I am a child of the 70s/80s, and I admit it!

This song is stuck in my head often, but today, it's there because of our challenge at For Fun Challenges.  We have gone WESTERN!

I am sharing with you a card I have created using a Dearie Dolls image (I so love Dearie Dolls!). This little cowboy is just too darn tootin' cute to ignore!

Ingredients: Metallic Copper Cardbase; Patterned Cardstock; ProMarkers, Stardust Glitter Pens; Embroidery Thread; Paper Blossoms; Ribbon; Sentiment Peel Off...

I coloured the image, and fussy cut it out, then edged it with a dark marker to soften the white edges.  While it was 'curing' I freestyled a stitched border, to emulate barbed wire.  I used a varigated thread.  After trimming the patterned matts, I fixed the layers together and placed the image. I added a birthday sentiment, then created a bow... not happy with a naked bow, I added some wee paper flowers, that I coloured with orange glitter, to appear more rustic.  I added it all to a metallic copper cardbase.

I am also entering this creation into these challenges:
Crafting When We Can - #14 One for the Boys (31/3)
Love to Create - #7 Anything Goes (25/5)
Card Mad Fairy - Add a Sentiment (30/3)

Thanks for peepin'!
