Easter.... a wonderful time of reflection, renewal, spring flowers, and chocolate! And for those of us living in tourist towns, it's a time of MANY MANY VISITORS! The town where I love boasts a fantastic running (track) carnival at Easter, once known as the 'richest' amateur footrace in the world - perhaps because of the winner's purse, although I'm not sure if that holds true now! In any case, our little gold mining town comes to life at Easter (and many of us locals hide away at home!).
This week our challenge at the Card Crafter's Circle is EASTER. Our challenge is sponsored by one of our favourites, Dearie Dolls, whom we just adore! Dearie Dolls is providing a winner's purse of 3 digital images - winner's choice!
Morning Glory Easter Chick ... isn't she a sweetie!
Ingredients: Metallic Cardbase; Core'dinations CS; printed paper; Marvy Markers; Glitter Pens; Chalks; Purple Rhinestones; Pink Pearls; Sandpaper!
I coloured the image with a markers and with glitter pens, and filled the background with chalk, to reduce the starkness of the white (since I was using a coloured cardbase). After measuring the matt layers, I distressed the green cardstock, and fixed the layers together then adhered them to the cardbase. I added purple rhinestones to the corners, and some faux stitching. Oh, and I added a rhinestone to fix her hat ribbon, and some pearls to the wee pink flowers on her Easter Bonnet! But the flash nuked the colour of the flowers (but they are pink!)...
