Just Gaga...

Another GaGa?  Indeed.  On the playlist this week at Scrap It With A Song is another Lady Gaga song.... Just Dance...

This week, I'm sharing a double page layout .... not a regular thing for me, but when you have to many photos of one event, what can you do!

Ingredients:  Cardstock - DCWV; Alpha Stickers - Creative Memories; Rhinestones, Yellow Droplets Paper Flowers - Kaisercraft' Organza Red, Organza Cream/Gold Ribbons - Cherry Designs; Fabric Flowers - my own stash....

I mirrored the ribbons on the pages, without mirroring the photos - they were cropped at different sizes, and with the fussy cut photos, mirroring wasn't possible.  The matted photos are adhered flat, the fussy cut photos are fixed with both flat DS tape, and foam, to lift some portions.   The flowers are three layers - fabric flower, paper flower, acrylic droplet... I thought they resembled daffodils, in a way!  I added red rhinestones for the girls' foreheads for their bindi (they actually wore authentic red bindi on the day).

This event was an Indian Cultural day at the special development school.... local Indian ladies blessed us by bring the most beautiful saris and clothing for the children and staff to dress in, and showed us how to dress properly.  My Bec, in yellow and red, revelled in the costume, and danced and danced... even when there was no music!  we shared in a fabulous banquet of authentic foods, drinks and sweets.... our cup runneth over a whole lot! 

I apologise for the camera flash reflections, and the mismatched scanned/stitched photos above - I didn't get the colour levels quite right.  O yea, and verily I blurred the faces of the children in the photos - I scrapbook them for Bec as they were an important part of Bec's school day/life, but did not seek permission to blog them.
