MPS - We Heart You Blog Hop

My apologies for anyone who visited my blog and found this post incomplete without picture etc.... I scheduled it to post on time, and was then called away for family, so it posted on auto incomplete!

I can't believe the term for the MPS Design Team Mermaids is coming to an end.... I am thrilled to say that I am staying on, but we're saying goodbye and bidding a fond farewell to several of our creative sister mermaids.  What a wonderful way to say goodbye and we treasure your friendship, by having a blog hop!

Here is my creation, using the MPS Mary Mary image...

Ingredients: Cardstock - DCWV, SU!, Paper - Freebie; Promarker Aqua; Sakura Stardust Pens; Deco Chalk; Rhinestones; Crocheted Lace; Fairy Dust - Print Blocks.

I coloured the image using a promarker for her hair, stardust pens for the rest. She glitters a whole lot! The background was brushed with chalk, to better match the colours in the preprinted cardstock.  The image was layered onto patterned paper (Blue, with a cream lace pattern) and then onto light blue card. I fixed wide DS tape directly to the card, and adhered crocheted lace on top.  I then schmooshed pale blue fairy dust (ultra fine glitter) all over the lace, and dusted it off, so it stuck only to the exposed tape.  I placed the image and fixed it to the card, then added a whole border of rhinestones....the fairy dust actually glitters more than the rhinestones, but the photography messes the effect...
