Wow... 2010 coming to a close... 2011 about to begin... and me another year closer to my mid-forties! At For Fun Challenges this week, with our brand new HUGE design team, we're welcoming in the New Year with a challenge themed appropriately.... NEW YEAR! What does New Year mean to you? How do you ring it in? Celebrations? Sleep? Show us your New Year creations!
I love to dance and celebrate, but I don't often get the chance to do so - with a 'young-un' with a sleep disorder, who starts of readying for bed at around 7pm, I don't get out much at night.... and darn I miss it so much! I'd love to dance the New Year in, so here's my creation:
Ingredients: Cardstock - Rosies; Photo printed image; Lace; Ice Blue Paper Blossoms - Kaisercraft; Ice Blue Rhinestones - Kaisercraft; Vintage Button (my last one!)
I'm really into Clean and Simple cards at the moment - often they make more impact than over dressing with embellishments - at least when I make them! I've mounted the photo printed image on aqua cardstock, and given it a lace border. I put the large flower and button in place in the lower corner, and stitched it through the image using the button shank, and them added the other wee flowers. Ice blue rhinestones finished off the wee ones. I thought using the last of this particular vintage button was appropriate for the end of the year.... but what a joy it would be to find some more of these buttons in my button box!
I do hope you'll find some time over the new year to join us in our New Year challenge at For Fun Challenges ... we'd love to see your creation! And a HAPPY NEW YEAR full of health and prosperity to you all!
