This week, the challenge theme was "Just the Two of Us".... the lyrics provided were the Will Smith version (and I've been under a rock, because I haven't heard it!).... I'm such a fan of Austin Powers, the only version I have in my head is Dr Evil's!
Ingredients: Cardstock - Cre8tiv; Red Marker - Marvy; Rubons - Kaisercraft; Red Rick Rac; Silver Belt Buckle.
I don't often do pages with multiple photos - and a layout where the photos are so skewed is also not usually me. But, as this was a memory that I wanted to keep, and several photos existed, they were used. I think it was a fluke that I had printed a large one, and several smaller ones, and I think they came together nicely!
I don't often use such busy backgrounds, either... but because I was blocking the photos, I think it diminishes the 'busy'. I didn't embellish much, rather favouring bolder bellies to sit in the foreground and to lessen the background impact.
I matted all the photos with red cardstock, allowing only a thin edge to show, and the photos were edged in red marker. The rubon sentiment running along the top of the photos was a heart framed sentiment, which I cut to run as a single line, using the frame as leader dots... and the sentiment reads: "The Moments we Share are the Memories we Keep Forever...".The buckle has a fantastic relief texture of holes...where one might place diamond backed rhinestones if making jewellery. It has a fantastic faux diamente look, and you can't tell that there is no real sparkle unless you're up close! I can't wait to see what next challenge song will be.... and thanks for peepin'!
