Ingredients used: Cardbase - DCWV (Linen Closet Box); Cardstock - Cre8tiv; White Lace; Irridescent Glitter Glue - Papermania; photo printed vintage image.
I've made a Clean and simple card this week. The cardbase had such a lovely pattern on it, I didn't want to over embellish it, and I thought that the pattern had an oriental feeling. I simply matted my cropped image on navy, and added a border of lace behind it. I fixed it to the cardbase, then added glitter glue to the blossoms, and to the kimono flowers, the sash, and her headpiece.
I created a Thank You card because here in Australia we don't have a Thanksgiving as such... although our church has always had a Harvest drive in November to collect food for distribution to those in in need at Christmas. Our church does have a Thanksgiving Celebration in July, in line with the lead up of storing harvests for our winter, and since the Goverment has designated the first Saturday in July as the National Day of Thanks ..... I wonder how many years it will take to catch on properly!
I wish we celebrated Thanksgiving as it is in the US and Canada.... for all the reasons it stands for, and because I love the HUGE banquet of food! I can live without the football though.....
Do drop by the For Fun Challenge Blog and enjoy the FEAST that is the Design Teams inspiration for you this week..... truly amazing.... do join in our challenge.... we'd love to see your creation..... and take a quite moment for yourself.... to be thankful!
