I've finally gotten a hold on my Christmas Cards.....a good many created and completed, which is a wonderful feeling. I decided this year the bulk of my cards would be vintage style, and I've had a super fun time creating them..... I used some for a display and demonstration I did for a ladies group on the weekend, and I ended up selling all the cards that I had on display! Yikes - more work for me, but now my box is filling, and I don't miss those that went to other happy homes. I get a real warm feeling when someone buys my cards and they are so excited about their purchase..... it's like a gift that's giving THREE times - they love it, they are excited that their recipient will love it, I get to see their enjoyment as well. It's a great feeling of appreciation, and a great motivation for more creation too! Today I'm sharing a vintage Christmas card that I created ...
Ingredients: Cardstock - Cre8tiv; photo printed vintage image; Cream Lace; Irridescent Glitter Glue - Papermania; Red adhesive Pearls - Kaisercraft...
Image and Layers were cropped and trimmed before construction. I get really annoyed with myself when I cut and trim along the way, as it takes more time, as I spend more time trimming! I adhered the lace to the red and blue layers by sandwiching it between two strips of DS tape - I added one strip of tape to the cardstock, added the lace then another layer of DS tape.... after I had fixed all layers together, I added glitter glue to trimmings on the tree ... it doesn't show to well here, but there is a lovely sparkle. I added red pearls over the holly berries... they now have wonderful dimension!
