Summer Fun Challenge - MPS

Welcome to the Michelle Perkett Studios Tuesday Challenge #43, themed Hang On To Summer Fun!  And yes, I realise that the sharing of my creation on my own blog is late..... sorry!

The challenge for you is to create a card with a summer theme, using a Michelle Perkett Studio image on your creation. If you don’t have any there are wonderful summer images in Michelle’s Etsy store and you never know what you might find at the Crafters Digital Art Center .... you are a member there, right?

My creation for you this week uses the image of Cal the CA Surfing Cow (you all knew that cows could surf, didn't you?  And of course they can dance....

Ingredients: Cardstock - Kaisercraft, DCWV; Markers - Bic, Marvy; Glaze and Stardust Pens - Sakura; Rhinestones - Kaisercraft; Chalks - Pebbles Inc.

This card is relatively flat as I'll send it to my nephew -  he is always saying "Cowabunga Dude" ... although I'm sure it has more to do with Bart Simpson than a cow!  After colouring the image with markers, I added stardust glitter pen to the shorts, and glaze pens to the surfboard, starfish, and the cow (hooves, hair, nose, and sunglasses). Before assembling the layers, I edged Le Plume marker along the papers.  The DCWV floral cardstock used in the card, is embossed and glittered, and makes for a bright and summery card!

The DT's creations are just awesome-ly summerish! Super for me, since we are just finishing our wet cold winter!   Oh, and the Challenge Winner receives a $10.00 gift voucher to Michelle's Etsy store for a little digi shopping!
