Another challenge completed today? I don't believe it. I've had a horrid headache since my lack of sleep last night, and didn't at all feel like going and tidying the garden, which I should have done.... so staying inside from the sun, I found another challenge to take on.... this time it was challenge #91 at Cute Card Thursday .... to create an aperture card.
Again I've used a digistamp (really loving those digis!) from StretchNBubbles, and the image is called "Trimming the Tree". I really love this one, as it seems more reflective of an Aussie Christmas - a bird in a tree with green leaves, no snow. I adore traditional winter Christmas things, but don't subscribe to the setereotypical Santa 'on a surfboard' as the only Aussie Christmas image. The image is coloured with H20s and Stardust pens.
To the card - I created a white tri-fold card with a two-shutter aperture. I wanted to keep the card clean and white so the colours of the image would really jump. I added SEI rub-ons around the window, and on the outer and inner of the shutters.
I thought of adding a sentiment sticker to the front, but decided that any placement would unbalance the image.
