If the Shoe Fits...

I loved using this great image from StretchNBubbles named "If the Shoe Fits...". This is my entry into the Polka Doodles Challenge - which currently has a free theme.

This card uses a DCWV embossed cardbase, which I have coloured with chalks. To mount the image mounted I used black CS, and abstractly cut it to 'go with the flow' of the wavy edged image.  I coloured the image with markers, and Stardust pens (one of my faves!)  I stitched black seed beads around the border of the image, and added some sweet crocheted flowers.

I must have been in a bit of a crazy mood today (after traversing the supermarket the day before Christmas Eve!) because after I finished this card, I noticed how much this card goes 'against the grain' the abstract shaped image against the symmetrical embossed square pattern, and the funky image design against the sweet tradition of the crochet flowers.  I'm happy.

Happy days everyone!

It's pretty!

I'd like to see what you create after you go to the post-Christmas sales -- they are really wild and wooly this year!!!
