Here's my latest offering... for the Colour Create Challenge, where the theme was Hot Pink, Dusky Pink, and Iced Chocolate. Yum - should have seen the photo offered for our inspiration - good enough to eat! So on a hot pink cardbase, I created brown photocorners, and layered patterned papers in dusky-ish pinks and browns. I've cut out butterflies from a glitter paper of the same pack (a DCWV glitter stack) and edged them in antique gold ink, and added stardust pink dot detailing on the wing edges, and added white glitter with a hint of pink on the wing patterns. One wing of each butterfly has been lifted with foam tape. The optional extra was to add pearls and swirls.... since the paper was swirly, I didn't add any more, but I did add white pearls for the butterflies bods. Hubby said that the colours were too close and the butterflies didn't stand out enough. But I wasn't going for a contrasted look at all.. I wanted delicate. And unfortunately, the photo here doesn't show up all the glitter sparkles.... twinkling like fresh snow in sunlight they are!
