I digitally coloured the image lines, then printed the image twice, retaining the whole image for a base layer, and the trimmed dragonfly's wings from the second image. Starting with the whole image, I chalked the cloud with blue pearly chalk. Then I thought "silly me, I should have coloured the area around the cloud"! (Oh well, it is a MAKE BELIEVE challenge after all!) I then coloured the spare dragonfly wings with clear star glitter pen (silver glitter, no base colour in the pen) and when they were dry, I fixed them over the full dragonfly with foam tape for lift, with glue at the body-centre. I then coloured the body with the Clear Star pen, and added a mauve rhinestone for his head.
In completing my card, I simply matted the image layer on purple textured card, then onto a white cardbase. I added clear rhinestones to the corners.
My inspiration for the colours and simple layout was SARK ( and no, not the isle off the Normandy coast!) Her journal style is wonderfully vibrant and simple... but so alive!

It's a beautiful card Pauline! My first thought when seeing it was it looked as though the dragonfly was getting ready to fly through a hole in the clouds!
