Birthday Blossom

I hope you're all having (going to have) a wonderful St Patrick's Day.... mine is approaching early evening, and I'm about to have a wonderful meal of corned beef, cabbage, neeps and taties, followed with currant square!

Here is a card I created today, for a birthday I have coming up this week...

It uses a beautiful border sentiment/collage image from Beccy's Place.  After printing the image, I coloured the flower with  markers  in bold colours, knowing that the cardstock and paper I had chosen for matting was a little paler. I really wanted the flower to 'pop' as I wahted it to be a CASE creation.  When it was ready to be trimmed and matted, I did so with two layers of cardstock, sandwiching a layer of pink floral paper. I added pink rhinestones to the four corners of the image layer.

I am also sharing this card in these challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - #133 Clean and Simple (20/3)
In The Pink - #15 Floral/ Mothers Day (20/3)

QKR Stampede - Dreaming of Spring (22/3)
Aud Sentiments - Card with Sentiment for a Girl (26/3)

Thanks for peepin'!

Well done Pauline, great colours and great background papers! I love how you've coloured the flower in really bright colours to lift it out of the background.
Cheers,
Beccy
