It will be a fun challenge this week at Twist of Faith Cards ... our theme is a colour challenge... GREEN!!
We are sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps, who offers our random prize winner their choice of SEVEN digital images! Have fun only choosing only 7!
I created two cards this week. The first, using the Pea Pod Benny image... the second, using the Bug Jar Caterpillar image.
I have used the same green card bases and Core'dinations cardstock to mat the images. (That's where the similarity stops!)
Pea Pod Benny has been coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, and has a digi scripture that I have previously created. The matted image is fixed to the cardbase with foam tape, allowing the wired leaves/pearls to rest between. I coloured the leaves with a green marker I used in the image, but being white satin fabric, they really soaked up the colour! To try and balance the leaves and pearls, I added some larger pearls in the other corners.
This card is entered into the challenges at:
Songbird Challenge - #12 Baby Mine (2/2)
Created with Love - Baby Shower (3/2)
Creative Creations #2 Keep It Simple (3/2)
My Bug Jar Caterpillar creation again uses a scripture text that I created. I thought it was a neat little twist given that the wee caterpillar is locked in a jar! It has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, and I have feathered the background in pearly chalks, as well as the jar (in a different colour). I threaded a needle and added green stitches to the caterpillar's 'hairs' along his back, and at his brow. I left this card flat for easier posting (I have someone in mind!).
This card is also being entered into the challenge at
Love To Create - #50 ATG with a Sentiment (3/2)
I hope you'll join with us in our challenge this week, and show us your GREEN CHALLENGE creations! Thanks for peepin'!
