#2 Card of Comfort

I can't believe that the second challenge at Twist of Faith Card Challenges is already here!  The creations shared in our first challenge were awesome.  And my design team, again, have rocked my creative world!  Come on over!

Our challenge this week themed Comfort. Without going into detail of world events that we remember, there is much sadness in our world, and much comfort that needs to be shared.  We want you to share a creation at our challenge blog that will share comfort with the recipient.  Our sponsor this week is Beccy's Place .... and Beccy has such beautiful hand-drawn images!

I shared a scripture in the challenge post...

"The God who lives forever is your safe place. His arms are always under you..."

                               Deuteronomy 33:27a NLV

The style of language really spoke to me (I looked at more scripture in the online translation).  I must source a  paper copy of this Good Book!

On a white layer, I printed the image and a scripture (definitely one of my favourites!).

I first trimmed the image to size (to accommodate the matting) then  coloured the image with a ProMarker Aqua, and a water pen, for a watercolour effect.  When it was dry, I stitched along the wire in the image, then added, pearlescent chalk to the background.  I fixed it to a brown layer, then used foam tape to adhere it to the white cardbase.  It remains a CAS card, because I like to contrast of the sepia and white, and because I think this powerful scripture needs no complication.

I am also entering this creation into these challenges
Simply Create Too #21 So Old/Vintage  13/9)
Two Sisters #108 Fall (14/9)
Cupcake Craft #209 In Stitches (16/9)
Sketchy Colours #130 Brown, White, Turquoise (16/9)
Just Some Lines  Two Colouring Mediums (19/9) markers, chalks

Come join our challenge, create something to share some comfort, and maybe you'll be our random prize winner! Come share your Twist of Faith!  Thanks for peepin'!

This could be my front yard. I live in the Southwest Desert where cowboys are legend and you see scenes like this everywhere, only with a cactus near by. It's serene, a bit weathered and ruggedly beautiful. This card you've created says home to me.
