Fabric Fun

In just a few days time, I'me off on a trip to a warmer climate, so I sure hope I get the blog scheduling right!

This week's challenge #37 at the Card Crafter's Circle... is all about  FABRIC. we want to see fabric in your creations (as opposed to ribbon and lace, although we love that too!)...

I love having our current sponsor  Milk Coffee Stamps join us! The challenge prize winner will have their choice of 3 images as their prize... and there is an image for each of our Top 3 winners too! I created with a delightful image... Swirly Bird.

I coloured the image with glitter pens, and touched the leaves with glaze pen. I added the image to a simple layer of blue card, then two layers of spotty fabric...

I knew that I wouldn't be able to fix the fabric down straight, so I frayed the edges to really pick out the 'wonkiness' of the edges. If I'm going to be 'wonky' I'm going all out!  I thought of adding some stitching on the fabric too, but I thought the busy-ness of the spots against the clean image layer was enough 'juxtaposition' (there's my BIG word of the day).  My obligatory bling is some Ice Blue rhinestones...

Do come see the fabulous cards our design team has created to inspire you, and I hope you'll join us at the Card Crafter's Circle in the challenge this week!  Thanks for peepin'!
