Christmas in July... please send snow!

Firstly, my apologies for not updating my blog more frequently! Family responsibilities have drawn me from the keyboard, and left my blog with posts set in 'draft mode' and not being posted!

Our winter is a cold wet one, definitely the season for scarves and wellies! Or just plain staying inside, with the heater on!  If only it would snow... (I'm sure we're due for it, as we only see snow in our town every 30-35 years, and our last snowfall was 1981!)

In the spirit of seasonal cold weather, making it perfect crafting conditions, our weekly challenge at the Card Crafter's Circle this week is

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

We have two wonderful sponsors for this week's challenge. Returning to us is Happileigh Scrappin', and we introduce a new sponsor to our happy family, Stamp Art Design by Kathryne!

They have kindly allowed us to showcase some of the wonderful digi images, and they have also provided us with some fabulous prizes for our challenge WINNERS.. this week we have two prizes, as we have two sponsors! Awesome!   For our challenge details and entry requirements, swing on over to our challenge at Card Crafter's Circle.

I have created a card here using the Raggedy Girl Gingerbread Joy image from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.

On a white cardbase, I have layered co-ordinating vintage papers to matt the image layer.  The image has been coloured with a variety of markers and glitter pens, and I'm sorry to say that the angle on which I took the photo doesn't quite show all the glittery glitz!

I finished off the image layer by adding a paper strip border of green and checked ribbons, and topping it with a layer of white ric-rac. Finally, into the corners I stitched green buttons with red thread.

I hope I've enticed you to visit us at our Card Crafter's Circle to see our image showcase... and I hope we can inspire you to join in our challenge!

Thanks for peepin'!

So Christmas-y Pauline! Your colours are lovely. The buttons add a nice touch as does the vintage paper. Lovely card! Thanks for choosing Little Raggedy Girl. I'm sure the sparkles are delightful! xx Kathy
