This week at Card Crafter's Circle I'm thrilled to announce we've an awesome sponsor... Leigh at Happileigh Scrappin..... I ADORE her designs.... so when it comes to creating with them, I have a hard time choosing an image to use!
Our challenge this week is to create with GENTLE or PASTEL COLOURS ... pretty easy, huh? My apologies for the photo here... the colours appear far more intense than they actually are...)
I created with Leigh's Kooky Teapot #1 (there's a whole swag of gorgeous teapots!) .... and created a shaped card...
Ingredients: White cardstock; Promarkers; Glitter Pens; Glaze Pens; Rhinestones; a reclaimed earring...
I printed the image quite large, and on the right of a landscape layout so that I could fold it into a card. I coloured first, using Promarkers, Glitter pens to accent, and glaze pen on the leaves at the foot and spout. I then set to trim the entire image, on a fold, so the back was the same shape. Prior to cutting, I created a fold line and fixed the handle with doublesided tape to that fold ... so that the handle would have extra strength...
The image has dots/circles all over, the lid and rounded base, which I covered with rhinestones. For the knob on top, I used a reclaimed earring. I printed the dragonfly twice, and coloured the second image - fussy cut it, and added it to over the same with foam tape under parts of it to lift if off the teapot.
I am entering my creation in these challenges!
