I'm posting here a day late for the challenge at For Fun Challenges, and our theme for you is a recipe - in that your creation needs to contain 1 food image, 2 Decorated Papers, 3 brads/buttons/eyelets! Easy as 123!
Our sponsor this week is Clear Dollar Stamps - what an awesome collection of digi images, rubber stamps and all you need to create! Do visit and see for yourself!
I really enjoyed creating for the challenge this week, because I created an easel card - I've admired them from a distance for such a long time... and I'm certain I'll be creating many more... what fun it was!
Ingredients: Red Metallic Cardbase, Red Cardstock; Decorative Papers; Red Chalk Ink; Stardust Glitter Pens; Metallic Ink Pens, Glaze Pens; Gold Peel Off Sentiment; Giant Brads...
I printed the image on white cardstock. I then set it aside to cook dinner... then found that my husband had trimmed it out for me! He was so excited ... said he was 'helping me' ... I didn't have the heart to tell him that I wasn't going to trim it right out! I coloured with a variety of pens - glitter, glaze, metallic... lots of colour. I created three matts of card and paper, and fixed the image to one, and three brads to another. After ensuring the cardbase was folded the right way, I fixed the un-used matt to the folded open edge, then the image piece, and finally the brad piece, to the lower inside edge. I added a sentiment to some scraps, and fixed topside. (As the image is a well rounded image, I wanted to add some dimension - I fixed the bowl flat to the matt, and fixed the base of the machine a little differently - with flat tape along the side edges, it is fixed flat - but the centre is raised, as I have brought the sides a little closer to the centre before adhering down, giving a rounded look, rather than the lifted look from using foam tape).
I hope you'll pop by the blog and see the awesome showcase of creations from our design team this week... take on our Recipe challenge, and join us at For Fun Challenges... we will love to see your creations! Thanks for peepin'!
