Hosting again at One Powerful Hour - I've posted my own post late again! I feel like the Wonderland White Rabbit!
My chosen theme for this week is SPRING INTO AUTUMN! Why?
Here in the southern hemisphere, we are in autumn heading to winter, while our Northern hemisphere cousins are in Spring..... so I thought it would be a nice combination .... spring or autumn.... or both.... they are my favourite seasons (I'm a mild/cold climate person)!
Ingredients used: vintage photo; Cardstock - DCWV; Antique Gold Chalk Ink - Colorbox; Sienna Aqua/Promarker; Chocolate Pearls - Kaisercraft; Leyered Organza /Lace Flower; vintage lace scrap, Gold Brad (Pearl centre).
I created this card using a vintage photograph - it was beautifully tinted, but I thought that the wonderful SPRING photo would look super in sepia, so I created my card in browns and golds.... all those wonderfully autumnal tones. I matted the photo - all cardstock layers are edged in gold ink. Before fixing the double matted image to the cardbase, I added a strip of vintage lace, and an organza flower fixed with a brown pearl centred brad. I tinted the lace and organza flower with the Sienna Aqua/Promarker and a water brush (waited for them to dry of course!). I then added the strip of chocolate pearls around the photo. Lucky for me there was just the right amount of pearls - I strategically rotated the flower to cover the largest portion of the photo it could cover.... and there were just the right number of pearls to fill the photo edge.
I hope you'll join us at One Powerful Hour for my challenge.... we only have two criteria in the challenge - you must complete your project in one hour, and you must enjoy creating! Thanks for peepin'!
