MPS Turquoise Brown Challenge

The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett's Studio is to use Turquoise and Brown... I adore turquoise... the colour, the stone...

Here is my creation using the MPS Angelica image....

Other ingredients:  Cardstock - DCWV, scraps; Markers - Marvy Le Plume; Stardust Pens - Sakura; Aqwash water pen; Chocolate Pearls - Kaisercraft; Velvet Embossed Ribbon - Lil Davis.

I've coloured the image with markers and a water pen, except for the starfish, where I used Stardust pens.  Oh, and I sneaked in a 'gold' conte crayon for her eye.... very subtle... I think I'll use them more often!

The solid turquoise and brown layers are reused from thick gift bags.... nice to be thrifty!  I added ribbon, and the faux bow is just a scrap that I've tied on...

My card is also entered in the challenge at If The Shoe Fits... #76 Reuse, Recycle.

The details of our MPS challenge:  You need to use an MPS image for your challenge entries!  Check out the MPS blog for some super DT inspiration (mine is not there, due to family circumstances) and check out the challenge requirements (just use an MPS image, and follow the theme... it's not hard!).  Free MPS images can be found  at our PapercraftPlanet group, or at the MPS Etsy shop! The winner receives an MPS image of their choosing!  Do come along and join the fun.... thanks for peepin'!
