A Girl's Shoes...

My Nan always told me ... "You can tell a girl's character by her shoes" ... a girl of good character would always wear good clean shoes, even if they were shabby, they would be the cleanest and best they could be.  Well Nan, HERE'S some shoes for ya! (I wonder 'witch' ones she would choose...)

After nabbing this image from StretchNBubbles - and by the way, it's available in the SNB Shop now - I knew straight away that I'd be sending it to a faraway friend, who is a little witchy, and loves shoes.  She also likes to draw and journal, and she journals like a comic strip - how cool is that!

Ingredients: White cardstock; Black cardstock; Chalks - Pebbles Inc; Glaze Pens, Stardust Pens - Sakura, Black Signo Pen.

I used chalks to colour the stockings, then went crazy on the shoes with Stardust gllitter pens, and used glaze pens for the centre green pair. I highlighted buttons and fasteners with black glaze pen. I've created this as a 'flattie' so it is easy to post. The original image has all shoes in a row, but I inchied them, and picked one pair to focus on, by triple matting it. Since my friend is into cartoonish graphics, I wanted to keep it in that theme, with the box matting, and I added some pen detail around them.

I have entered this in the #45 challenge at Fab N Funky "Things that go bump in the Night".... I think spooky shoes fit the theme! Thanks for peeping....
