Vintage Vignettes

I love the challenge at For Fun Challenges this week!  VINTAGE!  Like so many others, I yearn for our days to be more like times past - when everything seemed to be about family, friends, good times, being content with what we have.  Manners and goodness abounded everywhere, and people revelled in joy of the little things.  Movies were great, clean, and cussing was minimal.  And darn, those actors were dreamboats and the actresses were divas! Music was danceable, and dancing was every where!  Okay, so there were world wars, but there still are now.  Perhaps people tried so hard to be happy because of all the gloom!  Sound familiar?  Maybe those times will come back, where neighbours will know their neighbours, and kindess was everywhere.... it all snowballs from little steps, huh!

Enough rambling .... you've got the idea that I love vintage by now! This week I was gobsmacked with the DT's creations..... absolutely breathtaking.... so go see what I'm talking about! Here is what I created for the theme....

Ingredients: Vintage Photo Printed Image - internet; Cardstock - SU!, Bazzill; Dotted Paper - Cre8tiv; Cream Lace, Gold/Cream Bow, Beaded Heart Charm, Blue Vintage Flower - local craft shop; Pink Rhinestones, Champagne Pearls - Kaisercraft.

The card construction is simple - just layers of paper and CS, with a border of lace added behind the dotty paper.  I left all my embellishing for the gorgeous vintage photo image ... rhinestones for the bride's ring, and veil, a vintage velvet flower for the groom's buttoniere, and a frame of champagne pearls finished with a beaded heart and bow (stitched on).

So this week your challenge is vintage. So come on over to the For Fun Challenge blog and share your vintage creations.  Thanks for peeping!
