Ingredients: Paper, Champagne Rhinestones - Kaisercraft; Paper Blossoms - Green Tara; Clear Sentiment Stickers - Paper Craft; brads; Apricot Lace; Pearlescent Chalk - Pebbles Inc.
Recipe:
2x10 inch piece of cardstock - for binding,
Five 2x3 inch piece of cardstock - for pages, double sided tape, Stamps/embellishments to decorate.
Score the 10 inch strip every 1 inch, then fold - decorate top piece. Tape/glue the binding together (in the mountain folds) so you have open slots to tape pages in. Decorate pages up until last inch so you can glue it in the slot. Simple!
I used a gorgeous Kaisercraft double-sided paper, from the Tea At Elsie's collection. Love it. I love the contrast of the paper patterns - a solid floral, and a gentle stripe. The stripes were perfect for the sentiments, and the flower pattern made a great filler - or background for more embellishment, photos ....
I put brads on the front and back 'bindings' to resemble an old album, and a strip of lace to the front binding before adding the cover. I assembled the book before I added the friendship sentiment stickers - that way I knew how much room I had to use on each page. I used brown pearlescent chalk on the page edges too. The front cover was finished by adding paper blossoms with rhinestones as centres, and a wee sticker on a card scrap. A nice surprise for a friend.
