Designed 2 Delight Spring Peeps

Well now.... I've been trying to get into this challenge with Designed2Delight Digital Stamps for a couple of months now.... but everytime, I miss the first image, so I have to wait till the start of the next month!  At Designed 2 Delight, at the start of the month, you can grab a freebie digi stamp.  If you create with it for the first challenge, you get another freebie! Play in that challenge with that freebie, and get another!  Wow!  (I believe the images are also available for purchase at Designed2Delight Digi Shop.) So this time, I've just scraped it in... thank goodness for time zone differences! Here's my card! 

Ingredients used: Blue and Green metallic cardstock, Bic Mark-Its, Sakura Glaze pen (Olive), Sakura Stardust pens (pink, orange), SU Border punch, Ice Blue Rhinestones, Pearl Strip

Although I had almost completed the card using a patterned glittered base, delightful in it's own right, I decided that it detracted from the image.  By using only plain colours, I think the image has more impact... don't you? 

In colouring the image, I used Bic Mark-Its... then I added Stardust pink in the flower centre, and Stardust orange on the birdie's wing.  The grass was coloured with a Glaze pen.
