Calling all Fashionisters!

Fashion pieces, particularly retro fashion pieces, are big in paper crafting at the moment.  And I love them.  Here is a very versatile digi image, that will ROCK your socks off! This is StretchNBubbles Dress Stand #2.... and you can find this image, and Dress Stand (the First) for sale here at the SNB Shop , just follow that link, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Ingredients used in this card:
Bazzill CS, Deco paper from Graphics 45 (Fashionista range), black brads, Sakura Stardust pens, Wide Black Lace (for the dress), Narrow Black lace (for the trim), Burgundy Ribbon Rose, 2mm seed beads (with a black core), Tiny Black Rhinestone strip, Gold Sentiment Peel Off.

I created the cardbase, and then created a 'topper' to replicate artwork you'd see hanging on a wall (then I decided it needed more dressing, so I added the narrow black lace in box pleats).  The image was trimmed, then coloured with Stardust pens... the main picure above shows the colour behind the lace dress, being black in the centre, and washed out on the sides. The foot and shoulders were coloured with a mixture of silver and gold.

To create the dress, I used a small piece of lace, and adhered it to the image using the scalloped edge to form the bodice.  I used a gathering stitch through the edge of a larger piece of lace to draw the waistline, and let the scalloped edge form the hem of the dress.  I added seed beads to the scalloped edges of the lace at the bodice, and along the hem, then added a burgundy ribbon rise at the waist.  This picture here shows the a little more detail of the dress (sorry about the icky flash lighting on the right!):

I adhered the dressed image slightly to the left of centre in the cardbase, and added the sentiment and the tiny black rhinestone trim.

Hugs & Blessings,
Pauline
