Ive used Bazzill cardstock, a vintage fabric, and a photo printed vintage postcard, a fabric flower and some gold ribbon. I've edged all pieces with antique gold chalk ink. I wanted the ribbons to be doing something a 'little different' so I've only used them in the corners, and they effect reminded me of Art Deco....
The writing is The Peacock's Complaint, which is a fable by the great old story teller, Aesop. About a haughty little peacock who complained of not having a beautiful voice like the nightingale....Juno in her wisdom told the peacock to be satisfied with what nature had given him (ie his beautful feathers)... some just arent' satisfied with what they have... guess it's something many could learn....
