My creation for Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge #51 is my final creation as Guest Designer. Thank you Dawn, for the oppourtity to play as a Guest on the Design Team.... ICS is a wonderful place to play, and I look forward to playing again as a challenger! (sounds like a game show comment!) Anyway, on to my card for this week's challenge....ta da!
Cardstock is by DCWV... the design used for the cardbase, is a glitter (the pink rose design is quite glittery but doesn't show too well here), the plain mat (behind the inmage) is Bazzill Bling. I've edged the image and mats with antique gold chalk ink. Following the sketch, I've laid in 2 horizontal lines - I decided to use lace and pearls, as I thought cardstock layers would be too heavy and detract from the rose theme. The lace is a hand dyed crochet vintage reproduction.... I just love it. I also popped in a third line at the top of the card to enhance the dead space, without filling it.
My final embellishment is the addition of 3D roses (where I'd have placed a sentiment had I chosen a different image). The roses were far too pale originally, but I tinted them with a Stardust pen to darken them.... is there anything that Stardust pens can't do! I love them. Et fin.
