A Purple Christmas

About time I got back into challenge play - and this card meets two! This week's challenge at the Doodle Palace ... a purple winter/Christmas card. A great challenge for me, as I really am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas cards, sticking to Reds, Greens, Ivory etc. And it's so nice to get out of my box.... I must do it more often... thanks Ann for setting a super challenge! And it meets the Cupcake Craft Challenge #66 of using a digital image!

On a purple cardbase, I have layered linen textured CS from DCWV, scalloped, and sprayed with pearl Glimmer Mist (but it doesn't really show in the picture here... it' really quite subtle!).  I've used a wide white ribbon - with an embroidered pattern down the centre, which is hidden from the silver adhesive snowflake lace.  The digi stamp image is called Christmas Belle.  I don't recall where it is from, but I can hunt up the blog details if you're interested.  I think she's sweet (she is actually on iceskates, but I cut her out).  Topped off with a silver sentiment, I didn't want to overdo this one.  I like simple and clean.....

hugs,
Pauline
